Coppa Cittá di Enna 1963
The Coppa Cittá di Enna 1963 , also III. Coppa Citta di Enna , took place on August 18th at the Autodromo di Pergusa in Enna , Sicily and was the 15th round of the sports car world championship of this year.
The race
As in 1962 , a second world championship run took place in 1963 alongside the Targa Florio with the Coppa in Sicily . Without championship status, the race would have had only regional significance. Were allowed GT vehicles to a maximum of 1 liter of capacity. Except for three BMW 700s , which were disqualified for lack of homologation, only Abarth vehicles were registered. The drivers were all Italians. The winner was Romano Perdomi in a Fiat-Abarth 1000 with a clear lead over the competition.
