The hill climb Consuma , even Coppa della Consuma , was a mountain race , which was extended on June 2 1,963th At the same time, the race was the eighth round of the sports car world championship this year.
The race
The race on the Passo della Consuma was the first hill climb to receive the status of a sports car world championship run. The race was not part of the European Hill Climb Championship . The track was 12,500 km long and had to be driven at racing speed once. On the day of the race, 80,000 spectators gathered along the pass road and saw a clear victory for Eduardo Lualdi in the Ferrari Dino 196SP , who after seven minutes driving time was almost 14 seconds ahead of Mauro Bianchi's Abarth-Simca 1300 Bialbero , and Hans Herrmann , the one Abarth 2000 drove, drove out. In the classification, Bruno Derserti and Odoardo Govoni in Formula Junior - Monoposti ex aequo took second place, but were not rated for the World Championship.
