Bandini Automobili was an Italian manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Ilario Bandini founded the company for the production of automobiles and racing cars in Forlì in 1946 . Production ended in 1992.

Sports cars and racing cars were made. 46 vehicles still exist today. A vehicle of this brand occasionally takes part in the Mille Miglia in Italy .
Bandini "La prima" 1100/46
The first vehicle was built in 1946. It was an open two-seater. A modified four-cylinder engine from the Fiat 1100 with 1089 cm³ displacement provided the drive .
Bandini 1100 Sport
This open two-seater was offered between 1947 and 1950. The choice was the engine from the Fiat 1100 with 1089 cm³ displacement and 65 hp and an engine with 1496 cm³ and 97 hp, which was developed with the help of Siata .
Bandini 1100 Siluro
This was the racing car version of the Bandini 1100 Sport , which was made from 1947 to 1949. The same engines were used.
Bandini 750 Sport Siluro
These racing cars were produced between 1950 and 1956. Small front fenders were used until 1953, following the wheel angle when steering. After 1953, the widened fenders completely covered the front wheels. The following motors were available:
- 747 cc displacement, 45 hp, from Crosley Motors
- 747 cm³ displacement, 65 to 71 hp, developed by Bandini on the basis of the Crosley engine with DOHC valve control
- 1496 cm³ displacement, 97 hp, from Siata
- 1625 cm³ displacement from Offenhauser
- 750 cm³ cubic capacity from Saab
- 1250 cm³ displacement of MG
- 2000 cc Alfa Romeo
Bandini-Maserati 1500
This racing car from 1952 or 1953 was equipped with a six-cylinder engine from the Maserati A6 with 1488 cc and 75 hp.
Bandini Formula 3
These Formula 3 racing cars were built between 1954 and 1958. The four-cylinder engines with DOHC valve control had a displacement of 747 cc and developed 66 to 73 hp.
Bandini GT
This sports car, based on the Bandini 750 Sport Siluro from 1955, was the brand's first coupé . The engine with DOHC valve control developed 62 hp from a displacement of 747 cm³.
Bandini 750 Sport Internazionale "Saponetta"
This model was produced between 1957 and 1961 as the successor to the Bandini 750 Sport Siluro . There was a choice between the DOHC engine with 747 cm³ displacement and 68 to 71 hp and a four-cylinder engine with 987 cm³ displacement and 90 hp.
Bandini Formula Junior
These single-seat racing cars of the Formula Junior were built from 1959 to 1962. The engine from the Fiat 1100-103 with 1089 cm³ displacement and 90 hp was used.
Bandini 1000/62 P
This sports prototype was produced from 1962 to 1965. The Bandini engine with 987 cc and 98 hp was mounted in the rear.
Bandini 1000 GT
This 1963 coupé had a Bandini engine with 987 cc and 94 hp.
Bandini 1000/66 Sport
1966, this model was created as a successor to the Bandini 1000/62 P . The Bandini engine with a capacity of 987 cc made 105 hp.
Bandini Saloncino
This rear-engined coupé was built in 1968. The Bandini engine with 987 cc had an output of 105 hp.
Bandini 1000/70 V
This sports prototype from 1970 with a rear engine developed 115 hp from a displacement of 987 cc.
Bandini SP 1000
This sports prototype from 1972 had the same engine as its predecessor, the Bandini 1000/70 V , but with 118 hp.
Bandini 1300 16 V i.
In this sports prototype from 1980 a four-cylinder engine with 16 valves and 1289 cm³ displacement was used, which was based on an engine from Fiat and had DOHC valve control from Bandini.
Bandini 1000 Turbo
This coupé, also known as the Bandini Berlinetta , was the brand's last model. The four-cylinder engine with 929 cm³ displacement was equipped with a turbocharger.

In Forlì, Ilario Bandini's nephew runs a small museum with ten of the brand's vehicles.
