Officina Meccanica Berardo Taraschi was an Italian manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Berardo Taraschi's company started producing automobiles in Teramo in 1947. The brand name was initially Taraschi . When Attilio Giannini came into contact with Taraschi in 1950, the brand name changed to Giaur . This is an artificial word that is made up of Gia nnini and Ur ania. In 1955 the collaboration with Giannini ended. After the separation from Giannini, racing cars with the brand name Taraschi were produced until 1960 and tuning parts until 1963.
vehicles
The company manufactured sports and racing cars. The first Urania model had a two - cylinder boxer engine with 743 cm³ displacement from the BMW R 75 . From 1950 engines from Giannini Automobili were used. After 1955, vehicles for Formula Junior were created, among other things .
