ICAI Romanazzi Srl is an Italian body and bodybuilder , who used to be cars manufactured and offered under its own brand name.
Company history
Stefano Romanazzi founded the Officine Romanazzi workshop in Putignano in 1907 for the repair and construction of carriages, later also horse-drawn trams and automobiles. In 1912 the son Nicola Romanazzi moved the company headquarters to Bari . Since the end of the Second World War , the focus of production has been on bodies for commercial vehicles. There is a collaboration with Irisbus . In 1953 automobiles were also made.
Automobiles
The only model was a tricycle with the single wheel in the front. The basis was the Piaggio Ape . The driver sat in the front of the roofed structure on a motorcycle saddle behind a curved windshield made of Plexiglas. Behind it was a bench with space for two people.
