Stanguellini
Stanguellini was an Italian manufacturer of automobiles and racing cars from Modena .
Company development
Francesco Stanguellini (* 1879; † December 22, 1932) ran the Fiat agency in Modena from 1908 . In addition, he drove car races on SCAT and Ceirano . His son Vittorio Stanguellini (* March 24, 1910 - December 4, 1981) took over the business in 1932. He started tuning Fiat for car racing in 1937 . In 1938 the first car was created under his name, the Stanguellini 750 Sport Nazionale. Like many of its successors, the model was mostly offered as an open roadster, rarely as a closed coupé. From 1958, Stanguellini had a large part of the bodies built at Carrozzeria Gransport in Modena. The company was particularly successful in car races in the 1950s. Production was discontinued in 1965. In 1971 a few more prototypes were made. The Fiat agency still exists today.
