In the years before and after the First World War, Della Ferrera was one of the most respected motorcycle manufacturers in Italy. With the exception of tires and parts of the electrical system, the company manufactured all important components, including the carburettor, itself. The brothers were so convinced of the stability of their machines that they exchanged defective parts for free and gave their machines a guarantee for 100,000 km.

The first model from 1909 had a single cylinder engine with 330 cm³ displacement , which was later increased to 499 cm³. The first motorcycle with a two-cylinder engine followed in 1913 . The V2 engine had a displacement of 500 cm³. In 1914 the single-cylinder model was revised; the engine now had four valves.

In 1919, after production was interrupted due to the war, a model with a single-cylinder engine with 636 cm³ displacement and one with a V2 engine with 1006 cm³ displacement followed. Both models had a kick starter and a four-speed gearbox. Other motorcycles followed with engines with 130, 175, 250, 350, 496, 500, 523, 637, 770, 803, 923, 998 and 1048 cm³ cubic capacity.

Between 1914 and 1920 Della Ferrera drivers were able to win the Italian motorcycle road championship three times in the 500 cc class.

In 1942, production had to be limited to the manufacture of spare parts. After the Second World War , only individual vehicles were assembled from existing parts.

Automobiles

The only model was a cycle car and was only produced in 1924. A four - cylinder two-stroke engine with a displacement of 707 cm³ provided the drive. The vehicle had a four-speed gearbox and four-wheel brakes. The design-related maximum speed was given as 80 km / h. The Officine Meccanica Giuseppe Meldi took over the model in 1927 as the basis for its own vehicles.
