Costruzioni Meccaniche Nazionali SA was an Italian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Milan-based company started producing automobiles in 1919. The brand name was CMN . In 1920 it took over the factory facilities of the dissolved De Vecchi company . In the same year a collaboration with Officine Meccaniche Toscane began . Production ended in 1923.

The first model was the 15/20 HP . This sports car had a four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 2297 cm³ . In 1922 followed the four-cylinder model Tipo 7 with 1940 cc displacement, another four-cylinder model with 2200 cc displacement and the 25 HP model with a six-cylinder engine and 3000 cc displacement.

Races

Enzo Ferrari and Ugo Sivocci competed for CMN car races like the Targa Florio .
