Officine Ermini was an Italian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Pasquale Ermini founded the company for the production of automobiles, especially sports cars, in Florence in 1948 . In 1962 the company was dissolved. A total of around 19 vehicles were built.

The first model had a tubular frame chassis. A four-cylinder engine with DOHC valve control and two downdraft carburetors provided the drive . A five-speed gearbox was used. The Gran Sport Coupé was later presented at the Turin Motor Show. A four-cylinder engine from Fiat , which was enlarged to 1350 cm³ displacement , provided the drive . With DOHC valve control, double ignition and Weber carburettors, this engine developed 90 hp . Pietro Frua made the body . The 1100 model followed in 1956 , an open two-seater.

Racing successes

In 1950 Ermini won the national sports car championship in the class up to 1100 cc. Aldo Terigi finished fourth in the overall ranking at the 1952 Targa Florio . Piero Scotti won his class on a Targa Florio.
