Piero Scotti (born November 11, 1909 in Florence , † February 14, 1976 ) was an Italian racing driver .

Career

Piero Scotti was an Italian businessman who drove sports car races in Ferrari vehicles in the 1950s . 1951 he finished third in the Mille Miglia and headed by Giuseppe Farina as teammates one plant - Ferrari to victory in the 12-hour race in Casablanca in 1953

In 1956 , after having competed in national sports car races for the last few years, he drove his first and only Formula 1 Grand Prix . He bought a Connaught Type B to drive in the Belgian Grand Prix . Result: failure after problems with the oil pressure. After the race, he returned the car and ended his racing career.
