The 1953 12-hour race of Casablanca , also Les 12 Heures de Casablanca, Ain Diab, Casablanca , took place on December 20th of that year.

The race

There was considerable racing activity in North Africa in the form of monoposto and sports car races in the late 1940s and early 1950s . Especially in Morocco , Algeria and Senegal , races with a large number of international participants were held. One of these races was the Casablanca 12 hour race on a 3.260 km road circuit in Ain-Diab near Casablanca . 1958 which was on a route adapt, Ain-Diab Circuit , of the Formula 1 World Championship scoring Grand Prix of Morocco extended.

The 1953 sports car race ended after 12 hours of driving and a distance of 1410.415 km with a victory for the factory - Ferrari 375MM by Giuseppe Farina and Piero Scotti .
