Lino Fayen

Léon Marcel Louis "Lino" Fayen (born September 15, 1925 in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne , † May 7, 1972 in Caracas ) was a Venezuelan racing driver and entrepreneur of French descent.

Career

Lino Fayen emigrated to Venezuela after the end of the Second World War and took citizenship of that country. He entered his first races as a Frenchman, for example the Coupe du Salon in 1951 in Montlhéry . In 1953 he won the Coupe de Printemps and won a sports car race at the Circuit du Lac on a Ferrari 212 Export . In 1954 he was partner of Pierre Levegh at Le Mans and finished this 24-hour race in 1959 in sixth place overall.

In 1971 he opened a Nissan dealership in Caracas , which was closed in 2014.
