Charles Plantivaux

Charles Plantivaux (born February 10, 1908 in Boussais , † June 9, 1993 ) was a French racing driver .

Career in motorsport

Charles Plantivaux, who worked as a perfumer in Niort , was active as a sports car racing driver in France in the decades before and after the Second World War . His greatest success was fourth place in the Tour de France for automobiles in 1953 . In 1938 he made his debut with a class win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans , where his best place in the overall classification was 12th in 1952 .
