Società Automobili Lombarda Vetture Esperia was an Italian manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The Bergamo company started producing automobiles in 1905. The brand names were Esperia , Lombarda and SAL . In 1906 two vehicles were exhibited at the Paris Motor Show. In August 1909 the company went into liquidation . Macagno Giovanni Automobili took over the company.

The 20 HP model had a four-cylinder block engine with a displacement of 3700 cm³ . Power was transmitted by means of a cardan drive . In the 40 HP model , also with a four-cylinder engine, the cylinders were cast in pairs. The engine power was either transmitted to the rear axle via a cardan shaft or a chain.
Racing successes
Giovanni Macagno, who later took over the company, won the race from Padua to Bovolenta on a 20 HP in 1908 .
