Emanuel di A. Rosselli Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili e Motori was an Italian manufacturer of engines , motorcycles and automobiles .

Company history

Emanuel di A. Rosselli founded the company for the production of motorcycles and engines in 1898. The locations were at Via Baretti 2 and Via Nizza 29 in Turin . The brand names were Emanuel and Rosselli . Automobiles were also created later. Production of the last motorcycles ended in 1910.

Products

Engines

From around 1900 engines were made which were called Optimus . These were V2 engines of various sizes with 3, 7, 12 and 24 HP power. These engines were used for cars, boats and stationary systems. A copy of such an engine with a capacity of 1075 cm³ belongs to the collection of the Museo dell'Automobile Carlo Biscaretti di Ruffia .

motorcycles

The offer was motorbike Liliput . A 1 hp motor was mounted in front of the pedals and drove the rear wheel via a chain. There were also motorcycles with up to 5 HP engine power. In 1903 a motorcycle followed, the engine of which had a displacement of 258 cm³ and an output of 2.5 hp. Battery ignition and magneto ignition were available.

Automobiles

First there was a small car with the Optimus engine, which made 7 hp in this model from a displacement of 1075 cm³. From 1903 a small model followed that had the same engine as the motorcycle. Automobile production ended in 1904.
