Company history
The company Officine Meccaniche di Saronno from Saronno produced steam locomotives between 1887 and 1918. In addition, some automobiles were produced from 1894.
Automobiles
The only model was the Tipo 3 . This was a license build of the Peugeot Type 3 . The vehicles had a two - cylinder four-stroke engine from Panhard & Levassor under license from Daimler , which was arranged in the rear and powered the rear wheels via chains. The engine developed 2 HP from a displacement of 565 cm³ .
A vehicle of this brand can be seen in the Museo dell'Automobile Carlo Biscaretti di Ruffia in Turin .
Locomotives
As a branch of the Esslingen machine factory , Officine Meccaniche di Saronno delivered the first ten examples of the Danish steam locomotive series F (II) in 1898/99 .
