Officine Meccaniche A. Zambon & C. was an Italian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company from Via Verona 43 in Turin initially manufactured vehicle parts under the direction of Giuseppe Cravero. In 1914 the production of automobiles began. The brand names were Z and Zambon . Production ended in 1915.

Giuseppe Cravero, who already designed a vehicle for the Officine Meccaniche Beccaria , developed the only 4 Z model , also known as the 20/30 HP . A four-cylinder - monobloc engine with a long stroke , low-mounted camshaft and related valves with 3690 cc displacement provided for the drive. The engine was mounted in the front of the vehicle and powered the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The transmission had four gears. The design-related maximum speed was given as 95 km / h.

A planned sports model called the 5 Z no longer went into production.
