Automobili Franco was an Italian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Attilio Franco founded the company in Via Aleardi in Milan in 1907 for the production of sporty automobiles. The brand name was Franco . The first vehicle was exhibited at the Turin Motor Show in 1908 . Later the company moved to Sesto San Giovanni . Production ended in 1912.

In 1907, Attilio Franco designed the first vehicle. In 1910 a model with a four-cylinder engine followed , the engine of which had a displacement of 6800 cm³ . The 30/50 HP model came out later. All vehicles had chain drives.

Races

Franco Cariolato took part in the Targa Florio with a Franco vehicle in 1909 , but did not reach the goal. In 1910 he won the Targa Florio. He covered the two laps on the Grande circuito delle Madonie over a total of 297 km at an average speed of 46.8 km / h.
