Company history
Michele Alessandro Carcano founded in 1898 in Milan , the company for the production of bicycle - auxiliary engines . In 1899 the production of automobiles began. One of the employees was Carlo Maserati. Production ended in 1901.
Engines
The built-in motors for bicycles developed 0.75 hp . These were mounted above the pedals in the upper frame triangle and drove the rear wheel via a belt.

The model from 1900 had a 3 HP engine. The company exhibited this model at the 1901 Milan Motor Show.
