Michele Ansaldi founded the company on March 7, 1905. He held 55% of the shares, Fiat the remaining 45%. The total capital was 850,000 lire . The company was based in Via Cuneo in Turin and produced automobiles. The brand name was Fiat-Ansaldi . In 1906 Brevetti Fiat took over the company. Michele Ansaldi then founded the Società Ligure Piemontese Automobili together with Matteo Ceirano .
