Bugatti & Gulinelli was an Italian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Count Gian Oberto Gulinelli became aware of the 19-year-old technician Ettore Bugatti when they both became class winners in the same car race in May 1900: Bugatti in the tricyle and Gulinelli in the quadricycle category.

Together they founded the company in Ferrara in 1901 and began producing automobiles. In 1902 production ended after only a few copies had been made when Ettore Bugatti switched to De Dietrich .

The only model had a four-cylinder engine with 3054 cm³ displacement , which was mounted in the front of the vehicle and powered the rear axle via a chain. The open body offered space for two people. The design-related maximum speed was given as 65 km / h. This model was awarded a gold medal at an exhibition in Milan in May 1901 .
