Scacchi & C., Fabbrica Automobili was an Italian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Cesare Scacchi, who previously worked for Fiat , founded the automobile production company in Turin in 1911 . The brand names were Scacchi in Italy and Caesar for export to Great Britain . Luigi Storero was a partner until 1912 before he founded Storero Fabbrica Automobili . Production ended in 1915 when Diatto took over the company.

The A 70 20/30 HP model had a V4 engine with 4400 cm³ displacement and a cardan drive . The vehicle was available with wheelbases of 2982 mm, 3147 mm and 3236 mm. The B 80 35/45 HP and the C 90 Sport also had four-cylinder engines , but with a displacement of 5341 cc. There was also the 24/80 HP , the engine of which had a displacement of 6283 cm³.

A racing car was registered for the 1914 French Grand Prix , but did not appear at the start.
