Menon was an Italian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Roncade company was part of the Ditta Carlo Menon company founded in 1875 by Carlo Menon to manufacture bicycles . In 1897 Carlo and Luigi Menon produced automobiles for the first time, but their production was discontinued as early as 1902 after around 20 copies were made.

vehicles

The first model had an air-cooled single cylinder engine from De Dion-Bouton with 1.25 hp . The engine was mounted in the front of the vehicle and drove the rear axle. The vehicle in the body shape vis-à-vis offered space for four people. The last model was the 4/6 HP with a self-made single-cylinder engine with 490 cm³ displacement , which enabled a design-related top speed of 40 km / h.
