Darracq Italiana was an Italian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Società Italiana Automobili Darracq company was founded in 1906 by Alexandre Darracq in Naples to produce automobiles. The company later moved to Portello near Milan . In 1910, Anonima Lombardo Fabbrica Automobili , or ALFA for short, took over the plant. That became Alfa Romeo .

vehicles

There were two different models. The model 8/10 HP was equipped with a two-cylinder engine with 1528 cm³ displacement with 10 HP power. The larger model 14/16 HP had a four-cylinder engine .

A vehicle of this brand can be seen in the Museo Storico Alfa Romeo in Arese .
