Arese is a municipality in the metropolitan city of Milan , Lombardy region , with 19,683 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).
history
The Arese became known because it has been the production facility of the car manufacturer Alfa Romeo since 1961 . After Alfa Romeo was taken over by the Fiat group in 1986 , the Arese plant was almost completely dismantled and closed. Today there are still around 500 workers, and there is also the Museo storico Alfa Romeo , the Alfa Romeo factory museum museo storico in Arese, which was renovated from August 2008 to December 2009. At the moment, the authorities are trying to establish new companies on the huge unused premises.
Demographics
