Società Italiana Merz e Stinchi was an Italian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1908 as a subsidiary of the mechanical engineering company Merz & Stinchi for the production of automobiles. The administration was on Corso Oporto 13 in Turin . The brand name was SIMS . Production ended in 1909.

The only model was the 10/12 HP . The four-cylinder engine with two side camshafts had a displacement of 1767 cm³ . The power was transmitted by means of a chain. The transmission had three gears. The design-related top speed was given as 80 km / h for the four-seater passenger car and 90 km / h for the two-seater racing car. The price was 4500 lire for the chassis and 5000 lire completely for the four-seater.
