The Peugeot Type 3 is an early car model of the French car manufacturer Peugeot , 64 of which were produced at the Valentigney plant from 1891 to 1894 .

The vehicles had a two - cylinder four-stroke engine from Panhard & Levassor under license from Daimler , which was arranged in the rear and powered the rear wheels via chains. The engine developed 2 HP from a displacement of 565 cm³ .

With a wheelbase of 163 cm and a track width of 115 cm, the vehicle length was 250 cm, the vehicle width 135 cm and the vehicle height 150 cm. The body offered space for four people.
