The Peugeot 107 is a small car from Peugeot designed primarily for the European market, with four seats and either three or five doors. The vehicle came on the market in mid-2005 and is almost identical to the Citroën C1 and the Toyota Aygo . Together, over 1000 cars of the three models were manufactured daily at Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile (TPCA) in Kolin ( Czech Republic ).
The Peugeot 107 is the smallest passenger car from Peugeot and replaces the Peugeot 106 , which was built from autumn 1991 to the end of 2003. The 107 should not be confused with the Peugeot 1007 minivan, which was launched at almost the same time .

On the German market it is only offered with a three-cylinder engine with 50 kW (68 PS) that meets the Euro 4 standard . The in Daihatsu Sirion used Otto engine with 1 liter capacity and valves 12 has a camshaft timing (VVT-i). The Filou can also be equipped with the automated 5-speed manual transmission 2-tronic . The rear windows are fixed on the three-door model and can only be opened on the five-door model, which saves window guides and lift drives, among other things. Only a few optional extras are available ex works, which simplifies the production process and storage: head airbags are available on request (except for Street Racing ) - but ESP and air conditioning are not available in the basic Petit Filou model .
The car has a turning circle of only 9.46 m and is not suitable for towing a trailer. Its fuel consumption is 4.6 liters of super and the CO 2 emissions are 109 g / km. The Peugeot 107 was able - together with its two sister models of Citroen and Toyota - the VCD - Environment Ranking 2005 2006 both, and 2007 as the best non- hybrid vehicle place. In a university project at the HTW Saarland CO were 2 emissions by converting to LPG and other consumption-reducing measures at 90.9 g CO 2 / km 100, ie to the level of hybrid vehicles are reduced.

Facelift
In early 2009, the 107 was given a facelift. The front design was changed, but the technology of the car remained unchanged.
At the beginning of 2012 the 107 was revised again, whereby the change was more extensive than in 2009.
So the grille got smaller and the 107 has LED daytime running lights. The Peugeot emblem is now without a chrome border on the bonnet, which is formed at this point. In the interior, this model can be recognized by a new steering wheel and improved materials.

Registration numbers
Between 2005 and 2014 a total of 68,071 Peugeot 107s were newly registered in the Federal Republic of Germany. 2009 was the most successful sales year with 14,832 units. This is due to the environmental bonus .
