Peugeot type 23

The Peugeot Type 23 is an early car model of the French car manufacturer Peugeot , 10 of which were produced at the Audincourt plant from 1898 to 1901 .

The vehicles had a two - cylinder four-stroke engine made in-house , which was arranged horizontally in the rear and powered the rear wheels via a chain. The engine developed between 6 and 8 hp .

With a wheelbase of 145 cm, the vehicle length was 250 cm and the vehicle height 150 cm. The wagonnette body shape offered space for six people.
