The Peugeot Type 174 is a car model of the French car manufacturer Peugeot , of which 1,018 copies were produced at the Issy-les-Moulineaux plant from 1922 to 1928 .

The vehicles had a valveless four-cylinder four - stroke engine , which was arranged at the front and propelled the rear wheels via cardan shafts. From a displacement of 3828 cm³, the engine developed 75 hp in the 174 model and 85 hp in the 174 S model.

There was the standard model 174 and the sports model 174 S. In the model 174 with a wheelbase of 350 cm and a track width of 143 cm, the vehicle length was 468.8 cm, the vehicle width 180 cm and the vehicle height 195 cm. The body shapes inner handlebar, sedan, coupé, torpedo, cabriolet and coupé-sedan offered space for four to six people. The 174 S model, which was available as a Torpedo Sport and racing car, had a wheelbase of 327 cm and a length of 445.8 cm.
