Peugeot type 18

The Peugeot Type 18 is an early car model of the French car manufacturer Peugeot , of which 26 copies were produced at the Audincourt plant from 1897 to 1901 .

The vehicles had a two - cylinder four-stroke engine made in-house , which was arranged horizontally in the rear and powered the rear wheels via a chain. The engine developed between 6 and 8 hp .

With a wheelbase of 170 cm, the vehicle length was 275 cm and the vehicle height was 220 cm. The Break body shape offered space for eight people.
