Peugeot Type 68

The Peugeot Type 68 is an early car model of the French car manufacturer Peugeot , of which 276 copies were produced at the Audincourt plant in 1905 .

The vehicles had a single - cylinder four-stroke engine that was arranged at the front and propelled the rear wheels via cardan shafts. The engine in the 68 A and 68 B models produced 8 hp from a displacement of 883 cm³ , while the 68 C model had a displacement of 987 cm³.

There were the models 68 A, 68 B and 68 C. With a wheelbase of 200 cm, the track width was 115 cm. The body styles Tonneau and Phaeton offered space for four people. The 68 C, a racing car , occupies a special position .
