successor Peugeot 3008 II

The Peugeot 4008 is an SUV from the French car brand Peugeot . It is largely identical to the Mitsubishi ASX and the Citroën C4 Aircross ; all three vehicles are manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors . Peugeot launched the 4008 in Germany in June 2012. In Germany and some other countries, the 4008 was dropped from the model range at the end of 2015.

In Germany, the 4008 was only available with the Allure equipment, which already contained xenon headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels and automatic air conditioning.

In October 2016, the second generation of the Peugeot 3008 replaced the 4008 in China . Since the first generation of the 3008 is still available there, the 3008 II is also sold in China as the Peugeot 4008.

Technical specifications

The Peugeot 4008 has a diesel engine, all-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission as standard. The more powerful engine with 1.8 liter displacement and 110 kW (150 hp) was taken over by Mitsubishi, the smaller one with 1.6 liter and 84 kW (114 hp) comes from PSA Peugeot Citroën itself. The driver can choose from three types of drive : “2WD”, “4WD” or “LOCK”. "2WD" means front-wheel drive when driving on dry roads. In the “4WD” and “LOCK” drive types, the power is variably transmitted to all four wheels, while the distribution of the drive power is electronically regulated. In "LOCK" mode with permanent all-wheel drive, more torque is transmitted to the rear wheels. At the beginning of 2015, the 1.8 HDi engine with 150 hp was discontinued and the 1.6 HDi has met the Euro 6 standard since then.

The wheels are individually suspended, at the front on MacPherson struts and wishbones , and a multi-link axle is installed behind . The brake system has disc brakes on all wheels, the brake discs on the front axle are internally ventilated.
