The Citroën C4 Aircross is a compact SUV from the French car brand Citroën . It is largely identical to the Mitsubishi ASX and the sister model Peugeot 4008 ; all three vehicles were manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors . The market launch in Germany took place on June 2, 2012. While the 4008 was dropped from the German model range at the end of 2015, sales of the C4 Aircross by Citroën in Germany only stopped in March 2017. Production was stopped in April 2017 and sales ended a little later in all markets. The successor model, the Citroën C5 Aircross , was initially launched in China in September 2017.
At the Beijing Auto Show in April 2018, the C4 Aircross, a new compact SUV with the same name, was presented. It is based on the C3 Aircross , but is around twelve centimeters longer than it and is only available in China.
Technical specifications
While the 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 86 kW (117 hp) and the more powerful 1.8-liter diesel engine with 110 kW (150 hp) were taken over from Mitsubishi, the smaller 1.6-liter diesel engine with 84 kW came from (114 HP) from PSA Peugeot Citroën itself. With the gasoline engine, the power was transmitted to the front wheels exclusively via a five-speed manual transmission. In the case of the diesel engines, there was the option of switchable all-wheel drive . A six-speed manual transmission was installed here as standard.
