Citroën TUB
The Citroën TUB was a van and utility vehicle that Citroën built between 1939 and 1941. The model was the first commercial vehicle with a sliding side door . Citroën used the engine and transmission of the Citroën Traction Avant introduced in 1934 for the TUB . The engine sat in front of the axle and the gearbox behind it. Successor to the TUB was the Citroën H Van . A total of 1,748 units were built between 1939 and 1941.
Models
TUB
The original TUB (Traction Utilitaire Basse or Traction Utilitaire de Typ B) model was first sold on June 5, 1939. The model had a payload of 1020 kilograms .
TUC
On June 23, 1941, the Citroën TUC (Traction Utilitaire de Type C) was introduced. The new version was slightly changed, for example the payload was increased. However, the TUC was only built for a few months.
TAMH
The Citroën TAMH was an ambulance version. The interior and the technical values were not changed any further.
