The C-Airdream was a concept vehicle that Citroën presented to the public at the Paris Motor Show in 2002 . This was a style of the legendary Citroën SM held Combi Coupé , positioned in the upper class . Citroën placed particular emphasis on low air resistance and the CW value was 0.28. In addition, the C-Airdream was supposed to present the company's new design line. Most of the design elements can be found in the later launched luxury class sedan Citroën C6 .

The vehicle control of the 2 + 2-seater coupé took place entirely on the steering wheel. Instead of pedals in the C-Airdream, the accelerator was accelerated by pressing the thumb on the buttons located inside the steering wheel and the brakes were activated by handshaking on the other side of the steering wheel. The gearshift of the automated gearbox was carried out using paddle shifters, which were also attached to the inside of the steering wheel at thumb height.

The front headlights that pivot with the steering were an innovation. This was first presented by Citroën in 1968 with the Citroën DS as a cornering light . In the meantime, this possibility was forbidden by law for safety reasons, in 2002 the laws were changed again in this regard and now this technology is available again in various series models from Citroën.

The upper part of the body was glazed all around, whereby the area above the passengers could be opened by means of a panoramic roof. For the C-Airdream, Citroën used its latest generation of hydractive suspension, while the steering and braking system were electronically controlled. A 3.0 liter naturally aspirated V6 engine with 140 kW (190 hp) was used as the drive .
