The Citroën Type B14 replaced the Citroën Type B12 in October 1926 . The new series from Citroën was initially the same as the B12, but technically it represented a major step forward. The chassis was significantly lighter and the engine had been redesigned. The four-cylinder gasoline engine has a displacement of 1583 cm³ with 16 kW (22 hp) output at 2300 rpm. The top speed increased to 80 km / h. In addition to the previous 4-door sedan with 4 or 6 windows, the 2-door torpedo with 4 seats and a 2-, 3- or 4-seat convertible derived from it, there was also a 4-door roadster with a removable hood. As before, a flatbed truck was also available.

From March 1927, the WABCO brake system with four drum brakes and servo assistance became more comfortable; at the same time a landaulet version became available.

At the Paris Motor Show in October 1927, a luxury variant with an improved and embellished body of the limousine with an extended wheelbase was presented, as was a flatbed version with a 1000 kg payload.

In 1928, after 127,600 mid-range units were built, the B14 was replaced by the Citroën C4 and the luxury variant by the Citroën C6 .

A total of 8,933 type B14 vehicles were assembled between 1926 and autumn 1928 in the German Citroën production plant in Cologne-Poll , where the successor models C4 (1928–1932) and C6 (1928) as well as vehicles of the Rosalie series produced from 1932 to 1938 were later manufactured were (1932-1934 in the version Ganz Deutsch ).
