The Peugeot 301 is a sedan on the platform of the Peugeot 208 . The official presentation took place at the Paris Motor Show in September 2012. Produced is the model in PSA Peugeot-Citroen -Werk in Spanish Vigo .
Peugeot used the same model name for the Peugeot 301 (1932) as early as 1932 .

Three equipment lines are offered: Access , Active and Allure .
Around 360,000 301s had been sold by the beginning of 2017.
New assignment of the product number
This vehicle is the beginning of a new categorization of Peugeot models. While the first digit refers to the segment (here 3 for compact class), the last digit 1 stands for sales in the "entry-level segment". Peugeot would like to use it to conquer or hold markets in the emerging countries in particular. In Europe, the model is to be offered from November 2012 in Turkey and later in Southern and Eastern Europe, but not in Western Europe.
Facelift
In 2017, the 301 received a facelift: this included LED daytime running lights and LED taillights with a claw look and a touchscreen on the inside .
Technical overview
The engine range includes a version of the multiple as Engine of the Year excellent PureTech engine without turbocharger .

As an identical model, the Peugeot 301 is offered by the group subsidiary Citroën as the Citroën C-Elysée in Turkey , North Macedonia , Romania , Greece , Italy , the Czech Republic , Poland and Algeria . Since 2013 it has been built in China as the successor to the Citroën Elysée by Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile .
It has been available in Spain and Portugal since 2015, and since May 2016 it has also been available in Germany from around € 12,600. Almost 400,000 of these vehicles had been sold by November 2016.
Touring car
With the Citroën C-Elysée WTCC , the vehicle was turned into a racing car for the 2014 World Touring Car Championship , which was also possible due to the aerodynamic principles. José María López was world champion with this car until 2016 .
Facelift
The C-Elysée had been available with a facelift since the beginning of 2017. An infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen is also available. The Citroen Connect navigation system offers 3D in real time. However, in November 2017, Citroën took the model off the market in Germany. Until then, only 752 vehicles had been newly registered.
