The Peugeot Type 4 is an early car model of the French car manufacturer Peugeot , of which a single example was produced at the Valentigney plant in 1892 .

The vehicle had a two - cylinder four-stroke engine licensed by Daimler , which was arranged in the rear and powered the rear wheels via chains. The engine developed 3.3 to 4 HP from a displacement of 1018 cm³ .

With a wheelbase of 163 cm and a track width of 121 cm at the front and 123 cm at the rear, the vehicle length was 262 cm, the vehicle width 140 cm and the vehicle height 202 cm. The vis-à-vis body shape offered space for four people.

The vehicle has been preserved and can be viewed in the Musée de l'Aventure Peugeot in Sochaux , France.
