The Peugeot 202 was a small car launched by Peugeot in 1938. A special feature of this car were its headlights , which were placed behind the grille . Due to the Second World War, production was stopped in 1940.

After the war, Peugeot resumed automobile production with the 202 in a slightly different form in 1947. In total, around 105,000 different versions (sedan, convertible and station wagon) had been built by 1949.

In parallel, there was the larger and more powerful model 203 from 1949 . Peugeot only started producing small cars again from 1972 with the 104 .
