The Peugeot Bipper is a high-roof station wagon that came onto the market in 2008 as a car ( Bipper Tepee ) and box van ( Bipper ). It was built by the vehicle manufacturer Tofaş in Bursa ( Turkey ), where the identical Citroën Nemo and Fiat Fiorino were also manufactured. The Bipper was voted Van of the Year in 2009 together with its sister models . Production ended in 2014, as did that of the Nemo; the sale took place until 2016. Fiat continues to run its sister model Fiorino Qubo.

Engines

At the market launch, the Bipper was offered with a 1.4-liter petrol engine with 54 kW (73 hp) and a 1.4-liter HDi diesel four-cylinder engine with 50 kW (68 hp). The latter has a maximum torque of 160 Nm at 1750 min -1 . The combined consumption is 4.5 liters of diesel fuel per 100 km with CO 2 emissions of 119 g / km. With the diesel engine, instead of the standard five-speed manual transmission, the automated 5-speed manual 2-tronic transmission was also available.

As of September 2010, there was only a 1.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine from 1248 cc liter capacity 55 kW (75 hp) at 4000 min -1 mobilized. The new engine has a torque of 190 Nm at 1750 min -1 . The top speed is 155 km / h. There was a choice between a 5-speed manual transmission and an automated 5-speed manual transmission. In connection with the manual transmission, the Bipper consumes 4.3 liters of diesel fuel per 100 km with CO 2 emissions of 113 g / km, with the automated manual transmission 4.4 liters per 100 km with CO 2 emissions of 109 g / km . From 2011 the Peugeot Bipper was also available with a start-stop system and cruise control .

Production of the model ended in November 2014. Sales in German-speaking countries ended the following year.

safety

The Bipper has ABS , internally ventilated disc brakes at the front, drum brakes at the rear, belt tensioners and a driver's airbag . Passenger and side airbags are also available at an additional cost. Head airbags are currently not available. Since the parallel model Citroën Nemo overturned during an elk test by ADAC at the end of April 2010, PSA has been equipping all diesel versions of the Peugeot Bipper and Citroën Nemo models with ESP as standard since August 2010. For the versions with gasoline engines, the conversion was delayed by a few months.
