The Peugeot Type 5 is an early car model from the French car manufacturer Peugeot , 14 of which were produced at the Valentigney plant from 1894 to 1896 .

The vehicles had a two - cylinder four-stroke engine under license from Daimler , which was located in the rear and powered the rear wheels via chains. The engine developed between 1 and 2.5 hp .

With a wheelbase of 130 cm and a track width of 115 cm, the vehicle length was 215 cm, the vehicle width 132 cm and the vehicle height 135 cm. The body offered space for two people.

The Bonhams auction house sold a vehicle from 1894/95 on November 2, 2018 for £ 356,500 .
