The Peugeot Rifter is a passenger car model from the French car manufacturer Peugeot that has been on the market since 2018.

history

At the 88th Geneva Motor Show in March 2018, Peugeot presented the Rifter, the successor to the Peugeot Partner . The largely identical model from Citroën will continue to be sold as the Citroën Berlingo and was also presented there in the third generation. In addition, the Opel Combo is no longer based on the Fiat Doblò , but on the French high-roof station wagon. Also, Toyota offers the PROACE City for the first time to a model based on the Rifters. All four models use the EMP2 platform of the PSA -Konzerns.

The new Rifter has been on sale since June 2018. As with the two sister models, a long version is also available for the Rifter. The first vehicles were delivered in September 2018. The Rifter is built in the PSA plants in Vigo (Spain) and Mangualde (Portugal).

In Euro NCAP - Crash test the vehicle in 2018 with four stars out of five was evaluated.

Technical specifications

At the start of sales, the third generation will be powered by an 81 kW (110 PS) 1.2-liter petrol engine or a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 75 kW (102 PS) or 96 kW (131 PS). Outside Germany, the diesel engine is also available with 55 kW (75 PS). All variants meet the Euro 6d-TEMP emissions standard. A 96 kW (131 PS) 1.2-liter gasoline engine followed in May 2019.
