Peugeot Type 144 A Colonial from 1914

The Peugeot Type 144 is an early car model of the French car manufacturer Peugeot , of which 1799 copies were produced at the Audincourt plant from 1913 to 1915 .

The vehicles had a four-cylinder four - stroke engine , which was arranged at the front and propelled the rear wheels via cardan shafts. The engine developed 14 HP from a displacement of 2815 cm³ . The engine of the model 144 R developed 16 hp from a displacement of 3177 cm³.

There were the models 144, 144 A and 144 R. With a wheelbase of 317.2 cm, the track width was 140 cm or 145 cm for the 144 A. The sedan and torpedo body styles offered space for four people, the 144 A as a Colonial for four to five people.
