The Peugeot 108 is a microcar that succeeds the 107 in the Peugeot model range . The model was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2014 . Two months later, production began in Kolín ( Czech Republic ), where the 108, like its predecessor, is produced together with the sister models Citroën C1 and Toyota Aygo . Delivery started on June 12, 2014.

properties

Like the previous generation, the 108 was developed jointly by PSA and Toyota and therefore shares a large part of the technology with their small car models. Unlike before, however, more emphasis was placed on optical differentiation. Only in the interior are most of the visible parts still identical to the sister models.

The model also differs from its predecessor in its positioning, which is no longer primarily intended to appeal to price-conscious customers, but also targets lifestyle-oriented competing products. Therefore, entry-level models with very little equipment (without power steering, radio or split rear seat bench) are still available at low prices, but the majority of customers should choose higher-priced versions with many extras if the manufacturer so wishes. Among other things, a multimedia system with touchscreen and extensive smartphone connection or a folding roof are available. In addition, various design options for the interior and body are offered for customization, including two-tone paintwork and stickers.

Equipment lines

At the start, the Peugeot 108 will be offered in four trim levels.

  • 108 : The entry-level version is only available in conjunction with the cheapest engine. All security features are included, otherwise no significant components are included. Only special paintwork is available for an additional charge.
  • Access : This version differs from the basic equipment in that it has power steering and a height-adjustable steering wheel. Individual extras such as a radio can also be ordered here.
  • Active : Active has some additional equipment as standard, such as central locking, an audio system and power windows at the front. Further options are possible. The variant can be combined with all engines and in the TOP! available with fabric top.
  • Allure : The highest equipment level is with all engines except the entry-level version and with TOP! combinable. This includes air conditioning and a touchscreen, among other things. Other extras and packages are available.
  • Roland Garros : The top-of-the-range model in 2015 was the 108 Roland Garros, which is based on the 108 top-of-the-range Allure and also comes with automatic climate control, light sensor, reversing camera and a keyless entry and start system as standard. The special model was only available with the top engine.
