The Peugeot Type 26 is an early car model from the French car manufacturer Peugeot , 419 of which were produced at the Audincourt plant from 1899 to 1902 .

The vehicles had a two - cylinder four-stroke engine made in-house , which was arranged horizontally in the rear and powered the rear wheels via a chain. The engine developed between 3 and 5 HP from a displacement of 1056 cm³ .

With a wheelbase of 146 cm and a track width of 110 cm at the front and 111 cm at the rear, the vehicle length was 247 cm, the vehicle width 129 cm and the vehicle height 210 cm. The Voiturette body shape offered space for three people.
