Arum idaeum is a plant from the genus Aronstab ( Arum ) in the family of Araceae (Araceae).

description

Arum idaeum is a perennial tuber plant that reaches heights of 25 to 40 centimeters. The spathe is milk white and 5 to 8 centimeters tall. Its hem is as long as the tube. It is bent forward during flowering and not thrown back. The appendages of the spadix are 2.5 to 4 centimeters, black-purple and surrounded by the spathe. They are odorless.

The flowering period extends from April to May.

Occurrence

Arum idaeum is endemic to Crete . The species occurs in mountain forests, bushes and sinkholes on limestone at altitudes of 900 to 2400 meters.
