Peugeot Type 49

The Peugeot Type 49 is an early car model from the French car manufacturer Peugeot , 162 of which were produced at the Audincourt plant in 1902 .

The vehicles had a two - cylinder four-stroke engine , which was arranged at the front and powered the rear wheels via a chain. The engine developed 8 hp from a capacity of 1304 cm³ . Alternatively, an engine with 1627 cm³ displacement and 8 hp was also available.

With a wheelbase of 188 cm, the track width was 130 cm. The tonneau and double phaeton body styles offered space for four people.
