Peugeot J7

The J 7 and J 9 were front-seated vans from Peugeot with front-engined and front-wheel drive . In addition to the usual box vans , station wagons and pick-up variants ex works, this construction enabled various other bodies such as B. ambulances including chassis extensions from various bodywork companies such. The predecessor of the J 7 was the Peugeot D4 . The J 7 was built from 1965 to 1980; after a major overhaul and modernization of the body, the vehicle was produced as the J 9 until 2006. There was no direct successor to the J7, but the larger and more modern J 5 was offered in the same segment since 1981 .

The water-cooled engines in the J 7 ranged from 1.5 to 1.8 liters displacement ( petrol ) or from 1.9 to 2.3 liters ( diesel ), with an output of 48 to 66.5  hp . The empty weight was 1.8 t. The cargo space in the closed delivery van variant was 8.7 m³.

The engines of the J 9 ranged from 1.6 to 2.4 liters and the outputs from 66 to 75 hp. The cargo space was just as large as the J 7, the total weight of the standard 1400 was 2.8 t, the 1800 3.5 t, with an empty weight of a maximum of 1.7 t depending on the model.
