Citroën type 55
The Citroën Type 55 truck and bus appeared in 1953 as the successor to the Citroën Type 45 . It was produced until 1965 and was replaced by the Citroën Belphégor . The type 55 was only offered as a flatbed truck with various body options. It had either the type 45 gasoline engine or a six-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 63 kW (86 hp) at max. 2500 rpm. The maximum payload was 5 tons. There was a choice of three wheelbases. Another cab was available for the longest and the highest weight class. The total production of the Type 55 amounted to 54,898 copies.
